Jackson, TN – The Martin Methodist College RedHawks captured their fourth straight TranSouth Regular Season Title with a win over Union University 5-0. The RedHawks are now 12-4 overall and 8-0 in the TranSouth.
Junior Sara Perrigan scored two goals and had one assist to lead the RedHawks offense. Senior Clare Sykes, Junior Julia Bazi, and Junior Lisa Mann also scored in the 5-0 victory.
In the past four seasons Martin Methodist has been undefeated against TranSouth opponents tallying a record of 31-0. The RedHawks have scored a total of 252 goals and only allowed eight goals in conference play.
The RedHawks are the top seed going into the TranSouth Conference Tournament which will be played at Martin Methodist College’s East Campus Soccer Field on October 26th and 27th. They will look to defend their title and win their fourth consecutive conference tournament.
