NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Freed-Hardeman University's Crissandra Perez is the TranSouth Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 21, 2008.
Perez, a 5-9 senior outside hitter from the Dominican Republic, notched 74 kills, had a .330 kill percentage, collected six aces and had nine total blocks in a 5-0 week for the Lady Lions. The senior was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pioneer Invitational Tournament and notched double-digit kills in each of the five matches she played this week.
This is the second time this season Perez has been selected for this honor.
Freed-Hardeman is 12-0 this season and 3-0 in the TranSouth.
