PULASKI, Tenn. (3/10) - Trevecca Nazarene's Stephanie Fisher and Chelsea Bailey were selected TranSouth Pitcher and Player of the Week respectively for the week ending March 8, 2009.
Bailey, a senior center-fielder from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee helped lead
the Trojans to a 6-0 week. She had a hit and run scored in all six
games and had multiple hits and runs scored in four of the six games.
Bailey racked up a homerun, a triple and a double last week with eight
RBI. On the base path she was 4-for-4 in stolen bases. The Trojans had
two wins over Union University, Mid-Continent University, and Tennessee
Wesleyan University for the 6-0 week.
Fisher, a senior pitcher from White House, Tennessee recorded three wins and a save in the circle for the Trojans last week. She pitched 20.1 innings, allowing only one run, while striking out 23. Fisher had wins against Union University, Mid-Continent University and Tennessee Wesleyan University and she recorded her save in game two against Tennessee Wesleyan University. The Trojans are now 6-4 overall.
