BATESVILLE, Ark. -- TranSouth Conference regular-season champion and defending NAIA National Champion Bethel University took home two of the three major awards in the postseason conference honors that
were announced on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Bethel's Mario Vila Boa was named TranSouth Conference Player of the Year and Wildcats' Head Coach Melvin Belong was named TranSouth Coach of the Year. Mid-Continent's freshman goalkeeper Alexis Mina and Cumberland University freshman midfielder/defender Brad Williams were named the TranSouth Co-Freshmen of the Year.
Bethel placed nine players on the all-conference team, including six first-team selections.
