BATESVILLE, Ark. -- TranSouth Conference regular-season champion and the NAIA's No. 5-ranked team, the Martin Methodist RedHawks, took home all
three of the major awards in the postseason conference honors that
were announced today.
Martin Methodist forward Shannon Walter captured TranSouth Conference Player of the Year honors, RedHawks' defender Yalu Borbolla earned the TranSouth's Freshman of the Year award and head coach Gerry Cleary was named TranSouth Coach of the Year.
Martin Methodist placed eight players on the all-conference team, including a league-high six first-team all-conference selections.
