HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman baseball program has a new career RBI leader.

With his single in the seventh inning of a 13-3 win over Brescia (Ky.) University on March 13, senior Brian Bullard overtook Robert Matlock for the all-time lead in RBI's at Freed-Hardeman.  The hit gave him 164 career RBI's with more than half a season remaining to add to his total.

Matlock established the previous record in 2007, breaking Clay Murley's mark of 157 that had stood for 10 years.

Bullard, a first baseman from Joelton, Tenn., also moved into third place on FHU's career homerun list after hitting the 30th of his career on March 22 against Mount Mercy (Iowa) College.  He is four away from tying the school record.

Bullard is hitting .338 this season with seven homeruns and 28 RBI.  Last season, he batted .329 with a career-high 11 homeruns.
