PADUCAH, Ky. - The TranSouth Conference will play their baseball conference tournament on a neutral field for the second time in three seasons.
Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Ky. will be the site of the 2010 TranSouth Baseball Conference Tournament. In 2008, the league play off-campus in Millington, Tenn. at USA Stadium.
Brooks Stadium/Doc Hideg Field is 60 years old this year and has a great baseball
history dating back to the home of the St. Louis Cardinals'
minor league affiliate in the original Kitty League. The stadium has hosted numerous leagues, tournaments and events over the years including the
Ohio Valley Conference Tournament for the last 10 years.
Cumberland (Tenn.) enters the tournament as the 2010 regular season champions. However, the defending tournament champions, Union (Tenn.), will be looking to repeat. In the 13-year history of the TranSouth, only four teams have won tournament titles. Cumberland has five titles, Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) has four titles, Union has two titles, Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) has one title and Berry (Ga.) has one title. Cumberland and Birmingham-Southern have gone on to win one NAIA World Series Title each. In the 13-year history of the league, the tournament title has been won by someone other than the regular season winner seven times. The tournament winner will claim the TranSouth's one at-large bid to the NAIA Baseball National Tournament Opening Round.

The TranSouth Conference would like to say a special "Thank You" to the Paducah area McDonald's for their generous support of the 2010 TranSouth Baseball Conference Tournament. Visit any of the five area McDonald's during your stay in Paducak, Ky.
