PULASKI, Tenn. – A repeat is in the making.At least the coaches feel so, as they selected Martin Methodist to repeat as TranSouth Conference regular season champions in the pre-season men's soccer coaches' poll Tuesday.

 

MMC (34) beat out Union University (29) for the top spot by receiving five of the six first-place votes cast. As Union easily locked up second place, Cumberland University (22) squeaked past Lyon College (20) for third place by two points. Trevecca Nazarene (13) was picked fifth, with Freed-Hardeman (8) picked sixth.

The coaches also voted to continue the conference tournament in the same format as last year. The semi-final matches will take place on Friday, November 4, and the championship will be played on Saturday, November 5. An All-Tournament team will be added this season to include the best 11 players at the conference tournament.
