The 2010-2011 TranSouth Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championships began with nine teams, but came down to two teams - NAIA No. 6 Martin Methodist, the regular season TranSouth Champions, who defeated #RV Freed-Hardeman University 69-66 at the Curry Christian Life Center on the Martin Methodist campus in Pulaski, Tenn. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 for the championship. This is the second Finals victory for the RedHawks, MMC won the 2004 TranSouth Championships.
TranSouth Men's Basketball Championships Title Game History
This is the third consecutive appearance for Freed-Hardeman in the Championships Final.
Martin Methodist College is making the Championships Final for the first time since the 2004 season.
This is the fourth TranSouth Finals appeareance for Martin Methodist and
the third for Freed-Hardeman in the 15-year history of the TranSouth.
Martin Methodist won the Championships Final in 2004.
The winner of the TranSouth Championships is awarded the league's
automatic bid to the 2011 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National
Championship at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
