LEBANON, Tenn. - Sixty-six women's soccer players were named TranSouth Conference Scholar-Athletes this week, as announced by the league office during the conference tournament that started Saturday.
  
Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.00 grade-point-average based on grades at the individual institution as of the beginning of the fall semester.
 
Bethel University led the way with 18 scholar-athletes, while Union University had 13 and Trevecca Nazarene posted 11. Martin Methodist had nine scholar-athletes, with Freed-Hardeman (7), Cumberland University (6) and Lyon College (2) rounding out the conference schools.
