
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kendaris Pelton of Martin Methodist College is the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 17, 2008.
Pelton, a 6’6” senior forward from Birmingham, Ala., averaged 22.3 points, and 3.3 rebounds while hitting 19-of-27 (70%) from the field and 28-of-32 (87%) from the foul line on the week.
In the RedHawks 82-68 win over Freed-Hardeman he scored 30 points and grabbed three rebounds while hitting 9-of-13 from the field and 12-of-14 from the foul line. In a 90-75 win over Union University he scored another 30 points while grabbing five rebounds and hitting 8-of-11 from the field and 13-of-14 from the foul line.
Martin Methodist is ranked No. 12 in the NAIA and now stand 23-4 overall and 14-3 in conference play.
