NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Brian Lake of Union University is the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending March 2, 2008.

 
Lake, a 6’6” junior forward from Bolivar, Tenn., led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week with three conference wins. In a 73-68 win over No. 17 Trevecca he posted 14 points and 16 rebounds. In a 134-69 over Blue Mountain he scored 14 points and tallied eight rebounds and three steals. He capped the week with 38 points and 15 rebounds in a 104-81 win at Mid-Continent.

 

For the week he averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds while hitting 21-of-47 (45%) from the field, 8-of-22 (36%) from three-point range, and 16-of-19 (84%) from the foul line.

Union is now stand 18-12 overall and 12-8 in conference play.
