JACKSON, Tenn. – Bobby Bratton of Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) and Billy Davis of Crichton College (Tenn.) have been selected as the TranSouth Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 9.
 

Bratton, a 6-foot senior third baseman from Columbia, Tenn., helped lead Martin Methodist to a split with Lambuth University in their two games play. Bratton was 3-for-6 in the two games with three runs, two RBI, and a homerun. He was also 1-for-1 in the stolen base category. Martin Methodist is now 13-8 overall and 4-1 in league play.

 
Davis, a 5-foo-10 senior pitcher from Millington, Tenn., posted a complete game shutout in a 5-0 win over No. 25 Cumberland University (Tenn.). He allowed just four hits and posted five strikeouts with no walks in his seven innings of work. Crichton is now 11-10 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
