were named the TranSouth Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively for the week ending April 28.
 
The TranSouth also boasts five teams in the NAIA Region XI Top-6. Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University comes in at No. 2, Lambuth (Tenn.) University is No. 3, Union (Tenn.) is No. 4, Cumberland (Tenn.) University is No. 5, and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) is No. 6.
 

Hansen, a 6-foot sophomore second basemen from Lakeville, Minnesota, helped Union to a 3-1 week, including a sweep of Crichton College in the final conference series of the year. Hansen hit .800 on the week (12-15) with six runs, two doubles, three triples, and four RBI from the lead-off spot. He also recorded a stolen base and recorded a walk. He was 2-for-3 with a double in Union 3-2 loss at NCAA DII North Alabama and was 10-for-12 in the series with Crichton. Union finished No. 3 in the final conference standings with league record of 13-7-1 and an overall record of 24-14-1.

 
Hester, a 6-foot-2 senior pitcher from Huntsville, Alabama posted a complete game shutout of Cumberland in a 3-0 victory for the Lions. He tossed seven innings, allowing just three hits while striking out seven hitters. He finished regular season with a 5-2 record and 96 strikeouts. Freed-Hardeman closed the regular season in sixth place in the conference (30-16, 12-11).
