HENDERSON, Tenn. - Shannon Walter of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College and Tiffany Harris of Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University have been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference's women's soccer offensive and defensive players of the week respectively for the week ending Nov. 2, 2008.

Walter, a junior forward from Chicago, Ill., tallied an impressive 16 points in two matches as the NAIA No. 4 RedHawks defeated Auburn University-Montgomery and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University.  In a 4-0 win over AUM, Walter played a part in each goal by scoring twice and assisting on two others.  In a 9-0 win over TNU, she score three goals and assisted on another.  Walter has 17 goals and 22 assists on the season for the 15-1 RedHawks, who won the regular season conference championship.

Harris, a sophomore goalkeeper from Columbia, Mo., recorded 11 saves, including eight in the second half, to preserve the Lady Lions' 1-0 win over Trevecca Nazarene.  Harris's sixth shutout of the season improved the Lady Lions to 9-9 on the season and 2-4 in conference play.
