PULASKI, Tenn. - The NAIA No. 3 Martin Methodist College RedHawks took on the Bethel College Wildcats in the TranSouth Conference Tournament Finals. The RedHawks beat the Wildcats 4-0 to win their 5th Straight TranSouth Tournament Title.

The RedHawks scored with in the first ten minutes of the match when the Wildcats fouled in the RedHawks box, Lisa Mann took the penalty kick for the first RedHawk goal of the game.

The second goal of the game Lisa Mann took a direct kick from about 30 yards out. The Wildcat's keeper batted it away and Shannon Walter was able to follow up and finish to make the score 2-0 Martin Methodist. Nikki O'Donnell would score next for the RedHawks after Shannon Walter took a corner kick and O'Donnell was on the far side of the goal to head in the third goal of the game. The final goal of the game was scored by Shannon Walter. O'Donnell passed it to Walter and Walter dribbled and took on a Wildcat defender, and was able to get passed her to score.
 
With the win the RedHawks move to 18-1 on the season. They are undefeated in TranSouth Conference play for the last five years and have now won 33 straight TranSouth Conference matches. The RedHawks have outscored TSAC opponents 257 to 6 and haven't allowed a TranSouth opponent to score all season.
Bethel College finishes the 2008 season 9-7-2.
 
Martin Methodist College will now host a 2008 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round match next Saturday on the East Campus Soccer Complex at 2:00. The opponent will be determined on November 16th at 7:00.
