PULASKI, Tenn. - The TranSouth Athletic Conference released its 2009 Softball Scholar-Athletes today. There were 48 TranSouth softball player's honored with Scholar-Athlete distinction during the awards ceremony held at the TranSouth Softball Tournament in Pulaski, Tenn.

There were four teams (Bethel, Cumberland, Trevecca, and Union) with a high of eight qualifying athletes.

Recipients must be a sophomore or above in academic standing; have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (on a 4.0 scale).
