PULASKI, Tenn. - Coach George Ogilvie has resigned as the head baseball coach at Martin Methodist College. Coach Ogilvie has served as the head coach for the past six years compiling an over record of 138-173-1 and a TranSouth Conference record of 52-72-1.
Coach Ogilvie states, "This program has a tremendous upside with
the addition of new facilities in its future. I wish nothing but the
best for the baseball team and the college and I will always be
supportive of all their teams in the future."
Jeff Bain, Director of Athletics states, "Coach Ogilvie has
invested many, many man hours over the past six years not in just his
baseball team, but our Martin Methodist community, and for this we are
truly thankful. We all sincerely wish him the best in his future
endeavors.
Martin Methodist will begin the search immediately for Coach Ogilvie's replacement and we hope to have a replacement as soon as possible. There is still a lot positive recruiting, yet to be done."
Assistant baseball coach Kevin Tingle will assume day-to-day responsibilities and will serve as our RedHawk baseball liaison for the next 30 days.
