JACKSON, Tenn. - The TranSouth Athletic Conference will have its 2009 Basketball Media day on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event will be held in Jackson, Tenn. and broadcast live over EplusTV6 in the Jackson area and around the world via the internet.

Each men's and women's basketball coach will be apart of a 20 minute segment with two other coaches.

Steve Beverly will host the event.

SCHEDULE:  Women's basketball
10 a.m. - Freed Hardeman, Trevecca, Blue Mountain  
10:30 a.m. - Bethel, Martin Methodist, Mid-Continent  
11 a.m. - Union, Lyon, Cumberland   

SCHEDULE:  Men's basketball
11:30 a.m. - Freed Hardeman, Lyon, Cumberland  
12 Noon - Trevecca, Martin Methodist, Mid-Continent  
12:30 p.m. - Union, Bethel, Blue Mountain

After the brief opening by each coach questions will be taken by media present or via telephone.  

During the broadcast the TranSouth will release its annual men's and women's basketball preseason coaches' poll and all-conference teams.

The TranSouth Athletic Conference (TSAC) is an NAIA conference of nine colleges and universities throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Arkansas. Since 1996, the mission of the TSAC is to promote the education and development of well-rounded students and productive citizens through intercollegiate athletics. The conference offers equitable access and opportunities for participation in its 13 championships held annually.
