BATESVILLE, Ark. -- Shannon Walter of Martin Methodist College and Maryse Beauregard of Bethel University have been selected at the TranSouth Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Co-Player of the Week, and Jackie Gardner has been selected as the TranSouth Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the Week of Oct. 23-30, 2009.

Beauregard, a freshman midfielder from Sherwood Park, Canada, had four goals in two matches this week for the Wildcats. The freshman scored Bethel's only goal in a 1-1 tie with NCAA Division II Harding University and earned a hat trick in an 8-1 victory over Cumberland University.

Bethel is currently 4-4-5 overall and is in second place in the TranSouth with a 3-1-2 record.

Walter, a senior midfielder from Chicago, Ill., scored a hat trick in a 6-0 victory over Covenant College. She is currently the career recorded hold at Martin Methodist in goals with 61, assists with 67, points with 199 and shots with 290. She is currently leading the RedHawks in goals this season with 11.

 
Martin Methodist is currently ranked No. 5 in the NAIA National Rankings, sports an overall record of 12-2-2 and is the No. 1 seed of the TranSouth Conference with a mark of 5-0-1. The RedHawks will host the Semi-Finals of the TranSouth Tournament next Tuesday, November 10th with the opponent still to be determined.

Gardner, a sophomore goalkeeper from Windsor, Ontario (Canada), earned 13 saves and allowed only two goals in an unbeaten week for the Wildcats. The sophomore net-minder earned 11 saves in 90 minutes in a 1-1 tie against NCAA Division II Harding University and saved two shots in an 8-1 win over Cumberland University.

Bethel is in second place in the league with a 3-1-2 record and is 4-4-5 overall this season.
