NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Renell Collins of Blue Mountain (Miss.) College has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2010.

Collins, a 5-10 junior guard from Laurel, Miss., averaged 38 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steal per game in two games this week for the Toppers. He shot 27-56 (48%) from the field, 11-27 (41%) from 3-point range, and 11-13 (85%) from the foul line.

In the Toppers game against Bethel Collins scored 48 points. He hit 16-29 from the field and 7-16 from 3-point range. Against Cumberland University he scored 28 points.
