JACKSON, Tenn. - Union University men's basketball senior All-American
Greg Truvillion passed the 1,000-point and 500-rebound mark for his career in the same game. With is 22 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Blue Mountain (Miss.) College on Jan. 23, he eclipsed both milestones in one night.
Truvillion is the leading scorer and rebounder for the TranSouth leading and NAIA No. 14 Union Bulldogs (16-6, 7-1).
Truvillion, a 6-foot-8 senior forward from Lancing, Mich., recorded his 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in just 54 games as a Bulldog. He becomes the 30th member of the Union men's basketball 1,000-point club. Over his career, Truvillion is averaging 18.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
In his 55 total games to this point in his Union career, Truvillion has tallied 1,023 points and 508 rebounds.
Last season, Truvillion was named a first team all-conference performer, as well as, and NAIA All-American. At the first annual TranSouth Media Day at the beginning of this season, he was named the TranSouth Conference men's basketball preseason co-player of the year.
Truvillion currently leads Union with 19.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. He ranks No. 9 in the NAIA with 406 total points, No. 13 with 9.8 rebounds per game, and No. 16 with 19.3 points per game. He ranks second in the TranSouth in scoring, third in rebounds and fourth in field goal percentage (.582).
