TranSouth/NAIA RatingsNASHVILLE, Tenn. - K.K. Hodges of Lyon (Ark.) College has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 7, 2010.
Hodges, a six-foot junior forward from Wynne, Ark., averaged 20.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and three steals a game for the week. Hodges, an all-conference player, scored 33, grabbed seven rebounds and had four steals in the Pipers 69-59 road-win over conference foe Blue Mountain College. Hodges was 12-17 from the field and 9-12 at the line. Hodges added a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) in a 57-55 overtime loss at TranSouth member Cumberland. In the Pipers 70-44 conference win over Mid-Continent University she added 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. For the week Hodges was 22-40 (55%) from the field and 17-23 (74%) from the foul line.
Lyon, who is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Division 1 Top 25, is 15-8 on the year and currently tied for fourth in the TranSouth with a 5-5 record.
