NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University's Michael France has
been selected as the TranSouth Athletic Conference Men's Basketball
Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 21, 2010. France
also was selected as the co-player of the week earlier this year on
January 11, 2010. He was also selected as the player of the week as a
freshman.
France, a 6-foot-1 sophomore from Shelbyville, Tenn., had a career and
game-high 34 points in Trevecca's 95-87 road win over No. 20
Freed-Hardeman University. The TranSouth Preseason All-Conference team
member added 19 points and 17 points in the Trojans wins over Lyon
College and Fisk University. The Trojans were 3-0 on the week as France averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, a block and a steal per game. He shot 25-49 (51%) from the field and 15-20 (75%) from beyond the arc.
Trevecca is currently ranked #23 in the NAIA with a 20-8 overall record and tied for second place in the TranSouth with a 10-4 record.
