Tenn. - The TranSouth Athletic
Conference announced its 2010 men's basketball postseason awards
Wednesday,
highlighted by Cumberland University's Brandon Springer being named
Player of
the Year, Ken Bingham of Freed-Hardeman University being selected as the
Newcomer of the Year, Kyle Teichmann of Freed-Hardeman University being
tipped
as Freshman of the Year, and Winston Bennett being named Coach of the
Year.
First-team and second-team All-TranSouth honorees, All-Freshman team,
along
with Player, Coach and Freshman, were chosen by the league's Nine
coaches.
The 2010
TranSouth Men's Basketball Tournament Quarter Finals begins Thursday, March 4
and runs through Championship game on Tuesday, March 9th.
