PULASKI, Tenn. - Katlin White of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College and Anais Puertas of Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University have been selected as the TranSouth Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week respectively for the week ending March 14, 2010.

White, a right-handed pitcher from Alabaster, Alabama helped the No. 8 RedHawks to an 8-2 week with five wins on the mound. White only allowed two earned runs while striking out 48 batters. She recorded wins against Spring Hill (Ala.) College, LSU-Alexandria, Central Methodist (Mo.) University, NAIA No. 25 McKendree Univeristy and William Woods (Mo.) University. White currently leads the TranSouth in ERA at 0.77 and strike outs with 93. This is her second time this season beginning chosen as the TranSouth Pitcher of the Week.
 
Puertas, an outfielder from Estado Carabobo, Venezuela recorded a hit in all seven of the game the Trojans played in last week for a .519 average. She had five home runs including a grand-slam. Puertas also recorded 11 RBI and scored 10 runs. Trevecca had wins last week over NAIA top ranked teams including No. 12 Shorter (Ga.) College and RV Columbia (Mo.) College. The Trojans are 15-2 overall this season. This is the second week in a row that Puertas has been chosen the TranSouth Player of the Week.
