DECATUR, Ala. - No. 17 Trevecca (44-17) advanced to the Championship Bracket (eight-team double-elimination tournament) for the fourth time in the last five years. Trevecca's softball program has reached the final eight team bracket in all four trips to the NAIA Championships.

Trevecca's first game in the Championship Bracket was a 3-1 loss to Shorter College on Monday (5/24) at 9 p.m. Trevecca was eliminated on Tuesday (5/25) 5-3 by No. 6 Belhaven (Miss.) College (54-9) at Noon.

Trevecca went 3-0 in Pool B to advance at the 30th Annual National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Softball National Championships. The tournament is being held May 20 - 26 Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Ala.

Thursday (5/20) Trevecca defeated SCAD 13-3 while rains pushed Friday's play to Saturday. When Pool Play resumed, Trevecca defeated Notre Dame College 3-2 on Saturday (5/22). Trevecca swept Pool B play with a 7-6 win over No. 2 Lee on Monday (5/24) afternoon. .

There eight pools were composed of four teams each. Pool play took place on four fields May 20 - 24, with the pool winners advancing to an eight-team double-elimination bracket that will be played out May 24 - 26. The 2010 champion will be crowned on May 26.
