BATESVILLE, Ark. - Anja Klotzle of Lyon College has been named the TranSouth Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and Jennifer Loewen of Martin Methodist was honored with the selection of TranSouth Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5th.

Klotzle, a 5-10 junior forward from Altadena, Calif., scored two goals and had three assists in a 2-0 week for the Scots. Klotzle assisted on three goals in a 4-0 victory over Christian Brothers and dented the net twice for two goals against Hendrix College.


Lyon has opened the season 2-0 and starts TranSouth play on Sept. 18th at home.

Loewen, a 5-11 freshman defender from Winnipeg, Canada, played a key role in two wins during an undefeated week for the RedHawks. The freshman anchored a defense that allowed just two shots on goal over the course of the week.

Martin Methodist is ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA Women's Soccer Poll and has started the season 2-0. The RedHawks open the conference season on Sept. 18th at Mid-Continent.
