Batesville, Ark. -- John Bennett will assume
the position of Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Lyon College
beginning immediately. John previously coached the tennis teams
from 1997 to 1999. Bennett currently owns and operates Batesville
Realty at its current location at 1211 E. Boswell, where it has
been for 18 years.
John has a very strong interest in tennis,
having played in and won tournaments in Jonesboro, Little Rock,
Fort Smith, and Texarkana. Bennett has also served several years
on the Arkansas State Tennis Association Board of Directors.
"I love tennis and love working
with college students and I don't think you will find better
students anywhere than we have here at Lyon College" stated
Bennett. John also said, "I am anxious to begin practicing
and heading to our first matches of the year at Hendrix College on
February 19."
John and his wife Linda, Director of Library
Services at UACCB, have lived in Batesville since January of 1985.
They have two daughters - Dawn of Arlington, Virginia, and Tracy,
of Fulton, Missouri.
