PULASKI, Tenn. - For the last eight years, Martin Methodist's road to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship has gone through Pulaski.

This year, however, the road to the national tournament will take a bit of a detour as the 20^th-ranked RedHawks (14-3) will still host No. 20 Rocky Mountain College (14-1-2) in Saturday's Unaffiliated Frontier/TranSouth Championship, but will do so on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.

PULASKI, Tenn. - With the 2012 TranSouth schedule officially completed, the 2012 Women's Soccer All-TranSouth team has been announced by the league office. TranSouth champion Martin Methodist placed 10 players on the team, with runner-up Bethel University placing six players on the squad. In addition, the RedHawks of Martin Methodist swept the TranSouth superlative awards, with Tyson John, Mor Efraim, and Fabiola Sanchez being named TranSouth Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year, respectively.

PULASKI, Tenn. - A whopping 34 women's soccer players were named TranSouth Conference Scholar-Athletes this week, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.00 grade-point-average based on grades at the individual institution as of the beginning of the fall semester to be eligible for Scholar-Athlete honors.

PULASKI, Tenn. - Eight-time defending regular season and conference tournament champion Martin Methodist was a unanimous selection to win another league title in the 2012 TranSouth Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll released this week by the conference office. Information on the preseason poll as well as previews for each team follows.

The RedHawks graduated three key seniors from last year's 14-2-2 club in NAIA All-American defender Hannah Martin, All-TranSouth goalkeeper Hanit Schwartz and All-TSAC forward Nicole O'Donnell. Despite the loss, the RedHawks return All-American forward Mor Efraim and 2010 All-American defender Yalu Borbolla. Midfielder Daniel Sofer and defender Shir Levo also return for second-year head coach Tyson John.

PULASKI, Tenn. (11/20) - The RedHawks extended their postseason run on Saturday afternoon, as they hosted the 2010 NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament Opening Round at the East Campus. MMC poured on the offense in an 8-0 win over Cincinnati Christian that proved to be the RedHawks' largest margin of victory thus far. Nicole O'Donnell (Junior/Winnipeg, Canada) led the charge as she completed her first hat trick this season, while five other RedHawks netted goals.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Kassie Evick scored two goals in Trevecca's 9-0 win over Tennessee Temple on Tuesday (10/23/2009) and in doing so broke and closed in on several Trevecca records.

The senior now shares the Trevecca season record for goals in a season (10) with former Trojans Karen Francis and Tori Sanchez. The Middletown, Ohio native also shares the career goals scored record (25) with Karen Francis. Evick broke Ashley Holloway's season points record (25) with 27. Evick also owns the career points record (64) after passing Francis who had 57.
