Mayfield, Ky. -- Mid-Continent University assistant softball and volleyball coach Christa Bakemeier has been promoted to head softball coach following the resignation of head coach Rocky Stinson.  Stinson, who recently accepted the position of head softball coach at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, served as head coach for MCU for three seasons, posting a record of 42-120. MCU's 2009 team was 13-39 and finished fourth in the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) Championships in May, 2009. Stinson also served MCU as Student Activities Director and was softball Mideast Regional Vice-Chair for the NCCAA.
