Gladys Wandera (Union University) Gladys Wandera has been named this week's TranSouth Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2004. Wandera, a 6'2" Senior from Kakamega, Kenya, led the Lady Bulldogs to two victories including wins over TSAC rivals Trevecca Nazarene and Martin Methodist. For the week Gladys averaged 6.50 kills per game, 2.00 digs per game, and 1.50 blocks per game. Union now stands 22-2 overall and 9-0 in the TSAC. |
Cheri Kull (Freed-Hardeman University) Cheri Kull has been named this week's TranSouth Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2004. Kull, a 5'6" Senior from Canton, Ohio, was a huge reason the Lady Lions had an undefeated week, going 6-0, with a conference victory over TSAC rival Lyon College. For the week Cheri averaged 13.39 assists per game (241 assists in 18 games played) and recorded 37 digs and 9 service aces. Freed-Hardeman finished the week at 6-0 and now stands 22-2 overall and 9-0 in the conference. |
Susie Harper (Lyon College) Susie Harper has been named this week's TranSouth Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2004. Harper, a 5'7" Junior from Pocahontas, Arkansas, had her best game of the week against in-state rival Hendrix College where she had 31 digs in 4 games, 1 error on 30 passes, and 5 service aces. For the week, Harper averaged 6.20 digs per game and attempted 72 passes with only 5 errors. Lyon is now 14-8 overall and 4-4 in the TSAC. |

Brckalo, a 6'1" senior from Pale, Bosnia, led the Pipers to two victories including a win over NCAA Division I University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. For the week Ceca averaged 6.33 kills per game, 4.33digs per game, and .17 blocks per game. Lyon now stands 13-6 overall and 4-3 in the TSAC. |

Brckalo, a 6'1" senior from Pale, Bosnia, had her best game of the year in a win over Philander Smith College, she hit .741with 22 kills and 2 errors on 27 attempts. For the week Ceca averaged 5.43 kills per game, 4.57 digs per game, and .29 blocks per game. Lyon now stands 11-6 overall and 4-3 in the TSAC. |

Karina Souza Souza, a 57" freshman from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, helped lead Freed-Hardeman to an undefeated week with two wins, including a 2-0 record in the TSAC with victories over Trevecca Nazarene University and Cumberland University. In the victory over Trevecca Nazarene, Souza recorded 18 kills and 13 digs. In the win over Cumberland, Karina had 16 kills and 21 digs. For the week Karina averaged 5.67 kills per game, 5.67 digs per game, and .50 blocks per game. Freed-Hardeman went 2-0 on the week and now stands 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the TSAC. |
